Through the use of the image of Shepherd, God communicates to the world that his relationship with us is one of nurturer, provider, guide and protector; one who knows us well, even despite our idiosyncrasies. Notice how similar in connotation the shepherd image is to God’s other choice of title: Father or Parent. For parents are also nurturers, providers, guides, etc., ones who know us well, despite our idiosyncrasies. Let us be ever thankful to God for his love for us and grateful to our parents for all the love and care they have lavished upon us.

RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults - registration has begun - please register on our website or contact the Parish Office. Classes start on 8th May 2024 at 18h00, in the St Mary’s Hall.
Healing of the Family tree Mass with Father Joseph Wilson MSC. Saturday 4th May 2024 starting at 08h30. No confession on the day. Preparation for this Mass is Based on Daniel 9:3. Blessing of Sacramental items will take place after Mass. Sacramental items will be on sale before Mass.

Mother of Mercy Shrine: The blessing and Opening of this Shrine in Magaliesburg takes place on Saturday the 27th April at 09h30. For parishioners who have booked a place on the bus, please note the bus departs from the church at 7:00am sharp!

Prayer for Elections
Lord, we the people of South Africa and all who live here, thank and praise you for your inexhaustible love and the graces of healing and peace you continually offer to us as people.
As South Africa prepares for the elections on May 29, send us your Holy Spirit to form the consciences of the voters according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, so that leaders may be elected who aspire for the common good of all people, and have the fear of the Lord in their hearts.
Mary, Mother of Peace, we pray for peace in our world; make us peacemakers.
