The Season of Advent reminds us that God comes quietly into our lives, usually when we least expect it. To “Stay Awake” as the Gospel calls us to do means to live with an open heart, seeing God in one’s daily life. Therefore, as we begin this holy season, let us ask for the grace to wake up from distraction, from routine, from spiritual laziness, and live every day with a watchful and hopeful heart.

Marriage Preparation - All couples contemplating marriage are kindly requested to complete a pre-marriage form from the Parish Office and to give Fr. Paul at least six months notice. This allows sufficient time for proper marriage preparation and completion of all necessary documentation.
San Salvador Christmas Puddings - These delicious Christmas puddings are on sale in the Repository and from the Parish Office.
Carols by Candlelight - 7 December after the 17h30 Mass - bring a candle!
St Vincent de Paul Society - The final Sandwich Making for 2025 will take place on Sunday the 7th of December after the 9:30am Mass Only. Donations of Bread, Jam, and Peanut butter are appreciated. All help is welcome. Food Parcel and Christmas Giftbox Packing is taking place on the 13th of December in the old church from 9am. Please come through and help us to spread the Christmas cheer.​

How to Advent!
During Advent life is hectic with Christmas shopping, parties, the school year ending, and so much more. But as Catholics – we really ought to enter into this season of joyful anticipation with purpose and intention! In How to Advent, we will discover the rich traditions that mark this season and how they aid us in preparing our hearts for the birth of the child Jesus at Christmas. Guided by priests, religious, professors, and a charismatic host, you will gain practical tips and spiritual reflection on the practices of the Advent calendar, Advent wreath, Jesse tree, and nativity scene. There are four episodes in this show that are between 12 and 15 minutes.
